Fun Lunch Box Idea: Easter Bunnies!

Yes, we are still on Easter! Happy Belated Easter to you all!
I hope you all had a really good break? Not too much chocolate I hope?
With the kids off for two weeks, we've got to find ways of keeping them amused, and it is such a shame they broke up the day before Good Friday... There was just no run-up to Easter like we normally have. So alot of the baking was done either on the Easter weekend or now, trickling into the week after...

Fun Lunch Box Idea - Easter Bunnies - now I am sure you'll agree that these cute bunnies will never look out of place in a lunch box, and they're really easy to make, honest!

So whether you have a toddler or a much bigger little person, these are sure to be a winner!

Thanks to a twitter shout out last week, I stumbled across these beauties and was very kindly sent the recipe.
The only tricky part is making sure the Easter bunnies remain standing up in the oven, as some did slide over and lie down!

So who's going to give these a try?
I got the boys: 10 year old King Julien and 12 year old Spike involved! So it's a great opportunity to start them baking! They'll soon pick up the baking bug!

You will need:
120g unsalted butter
150g flour
2-3 tbsp sugar
few drops vanilla essence

Method:
Simply combine all the ingredients together.
Knead the dough and make into small walnut sized balls.
Use a pair of scissors to snip the ears, make the eyes with a cocktail stick.
Line them up on a lined baking sheet.
Bake at 180C for 15-20 minutes, depending on your oven. Keep an eye on them!
Would hate them to get too hot and burn in the oven!
Place on a cooling tray to cool.
Then they're ready to eat!

Let me know how you get on!
